of serious injuries including brain injuries higher than football? Please show me the research and statostics. Lacrosse? Basketball? Soccer? Really? We're talking about blown knees here, not injury to the brain or internal organs.

The only sport I have seen reliable statistics on that has a higher injury rate than football is gymnastics — and it's an entirely different kind of injury, usually less life-threatening.

...per capita is as high as football in some cases (girls lacrosse, soccer, and basketball).  I can get you hard numbers if you need them.

That doesn't mean that football players aren't suffering greater risks, since these lists are only for reported concussions, and we know that at least the linemen in football take a hit to the head almost every play.

As for total injuries, I don't have the numbers for that.  I can say that soccer players do get injured a lot more than people might think.  The sport is very hard on the knees and legs in general--torn knee ligaments are very common.  Professional soccer players have relatively short careers as well--not as short as football players, but nowhere near the longevity of basketball and baseball players.

At least for concussions.  The aim of the "sport" is to inflict a concussion.
