    They're like Teflon (remember, Ronnie was the Teflon president?)

    THEY shutdown the government, but THEY get credit for ushering the elderly vets through the barricades.

    And the average person is not paying close attention. A teacher at school told me she cheered when the vets passed through the barricades. I thought, really? Don't you know it was the very representatives that caused the clusterf*ck in the first place that were knocking down barricades?  No, all she saw was WWII vets denied access, then allowed access.  No behind the scenes understanding for her.

    And now Boenhead will hold a separate vote to fund vets and their families, and if we don't go along, WE are the bad guys.

    You can't ever win with THEM.

    It is ridiculous to pretend that firing teachers based on student test scores, starting charter schools, giving out vouchers or implementing merit pay will overcome the challenges facing a child living in poverty. -Jersey Jazzman
