Some redundancy wouldn't be a bad idea. It gets the message across without resorting to a lot of details. (Yes, that's a favorite GOP tactic but in the TV attention span age, it's not bad if used honestly.)

Maybe show pictures of various TeaPublicans and their leaders, a new picture as each word comes on screen.

    The narration underneath, something like:

A willful minority of Republicans tried to take control of the country last October. Democrats and moderate Republicans pushed back. Now, it's up to voters.
An even better narration would be quotes from each of the Repubs pictured, especially Ted Cruz and Boehner saying he didn't have the votes. This damns them by their own words.

2014 IS COMING. Build up the Senate. Win back the House : 17 seats. Plus!

because it takes a strong word (extreme) and makes it even stronger.

It also gets to the heart of the matter.  I wonder if Ian likes this formulation any better.

As bad as the Tea Partiers are, I think it remains useful to continue tying Romney around Republican necks.

      For example:

Scene 1: video of Romney castigating the 47% and promising to "cancel Obamacare on first day of my Presidency", and of Ryan demanding entitlement cuts.

Scene 2: video of Rove refusing to believe Fox's call of Ohio and the electoral college for Obama, with a headline of Democrats' higher vote total and Republican Gerrymandering.

Scene 3: headlines of Heritage and Ryan planning shutdown-ceiling extortion.

Scene 4: video of Cruz and Boehner along with full list of the Republicans' first round of demands.

Scene 5: video of John McCain saying "Republicans are to blame for the irresponsible shutdown and threats of default".

Tea Party and yet the Tea Party sank the economy because they didn't get their way.  Remind them:

President Obama won the election and the Republican lost.

The US Senate added another Democrat and kept the majority so Republicans block nominees and legislation since they can't get their anti-American bills passed.

A million more votes were cast for Democrats in the House of Representatives, yet Republicans, because they control state legislatures kept control of the US House.  John Boehner and the Tea Party, with support from every Republican, refused to keep the government open while working out a responsible, legally mandated national budget.

America needs to vote for adults, not for whining brats, not just for federal office, but at the state and local level so this never happens again.

even one claiming to be moderate and offended by TP tactics, break ranks when voting. It is still PARTY FIRST.

We have to focus most of our money and energy on the marginal vulnerable districts.

Delightful as it will be to see some of the Tea Party Zealots drop to moderate Republican challengers, getting Democrats into office in the most contestable districts and Senate seats ought to be our highest set of priorities in 2014.
