  •  When I had to put my old boy down, who was (5+ / 0-)

first my mother's dog, I had to collect myself before driving home.  I sat in the parking lot and closed my eyes and envisioned my parents on their favorite beach... Saw my father react with some concern (we never had a dog when he was alive) as a huge beast came loping along in the distance.  Saw my mother stand up and stare at the distant form... saw the hound pause in his step as he looked hard at her in the distance... And from there it became one of those old hair dye commercials where they ran (rejuvenated, of course) faster and faster to each other, meeting in joyous shouts and barks and leaping and hugs.

    Made the drive home possible.

I miss all my gone babies, and often speak to them (though not out loud, as I do to lost family and friends) and send them scritches.  Love your story.

I am glad it gives you comfort.
such a wonderful story, the Rainbow Bridge.
I can't imagine how many people it has given peace too.

Passing a law that the Constitution doesn't allow does not negate the Constitution, it negates the law that was passed. Secret courts can't make up secret laws. SORRY FOR THE TYPOS :)
