    and embrace the concept that feminism means supporting equality and equal rights.

    There was a time when I believed that being a feminist meant casting off outward signs of "femininity". A good friend told me that when we met, just over 30 years ago, she thought I was a lesbian (stereotype, anyone?) But eventually, I realized that while the way a person dresses and presents herself does send a first impression message, what follows is most important.

    There is a lot more to say about this; too long for a comment. Summary: Wear what you want, look how you like if it makes you feel good and doesn't scare the children. Sure, some people won't like it. F**k 'em.
