    •  Ed FitzGerald (0+ / 0-)

Former FBI agent, Mayor of Lakewood and current executive in charge of Cuyahoga County.

Is there a problem with him being white?  He's the best qualified person and he's from Cuyahoga County.  We need a governor from NE Ohio.

      •  Sorry, misread your post (0+ / 0-)

Good lesson, don't discuss things on DKos when you're running a 101 degree fever.

Correct, the Ohio GOP has a deep bench of knuckle dragging, mouth breathing idiots who will do what they're told.

        •  And the state Republican Party (0+ / 0-)

will be telling them they are dead meat if they even THINK of challenging Kasich. What they don't have is a dead bench of competent, qualified people with even minimal name recognition in ANY part of the state. These are all fringe characters. And don't assume they can win. State rep. Connie Pillich, who is taking on Josh Mandel for state treasurer, beat the chair of their local Tea Party in the last election — in a GOP district. She's well-equpped to kick some worthless Mandel ass.
