  •  Why didn't he do this last year? (0+ / 0-)

Come on, its John Kasich.  If he wanted a Medicaid Expansion for Ohio, he would have gotten it by now.

He's trying to thread a difficult needle - defeating a Dem in his re-election bid next year while either preventing a Medicaid Expansion or raping it, then forcing it on the public.

This man is pure evil. He doesn't have a compassionate bone in his body.

    •  The only thing I think matters is that those (0+ / 0-)

folks get medical coverage. I doubt they care about the mechanics as to how it happens.

If a Republican is forced to do the right thing every once in a while for some self-serving purpose, I will probably still be glad that the thing occurred.

And who knows? Maybe the Republican will say, "What was that? Was it my heart? I haven't felt that sucker for years. So this is what it's like to feel human."

    •  He has spent NO political capital on this (0+ / 0-)

which is why I think he's just flapping his jaw now. He never met with legislators or tried to twist any arms. It doesn't matter to him like forcing women to have children they can't care for does.

Ed FitzGerald for governor Of Ohio. Women's lives depend on it.

Blocked by the gerrymandered conservative legislature.  Been trying to "work with them" for a solution, running out of time.  He wants the money and the potential positive economic impact to help with his re-election.
