and no, I won't take it back or accept it as an exaggeration.

See, Commonwealth v. Malone, 47 A.2d 445 (1946).  A PA case re: Russian roulette.  That is what this case is -- instead of blank chambers and a bullet, lives are risked by empty nurse's offices.

    •  Agree. Don't expect Corbett to care (3+ / 0-)

He didn't give a rat's ass about swift justice or protecting innocent children when it came to the investigation of pedophilia charges against Jerry Sandusky, back when he was Attorney General. Nope, he and Jerry were good buddies - Corbett had been on Penn State's Board of Trustees. He even filed an antitrust suit against the NCAA to try to fight the sanctions the organization imposed on Penn State's athletic program.. a suit that was found to be completely groundless by the judge, btw.

Why should Corbett care about any child now? Rape them, kill them, it's all in the service of institutional power and the bigwigs he rubs elbows with at cocktail parties.

    •  How special. (21+ / 0-)

They fight to turn women into incubators for fetuses, and their depraved policies slaughtered a beautiful loving child.

      •  They are so clueless about human development (5+ / 0-)

that they rail against policies which ensure access to things like pre-natal care and nutritional support for those who financially struggle.  They could care less if fetal development suffers due to lack of health care, malnutrition, or a toxic environment.  The hypocrisy and disconnect is mind-boggling!

      •  Actually, they just fight to force them to (2+ / 0-)

Give birth. They don't care about their health, shelter, food, medical care, or anything except forcing them to give birth. It's about causing pain and suffering for girls and women, the fetus is just the tool used to do it.

Sorry I saw this diary and your comment to late to give you a rec.

    •  The non-medically trained school personnel (aides, (10+ / 0-)

secretaries, teachers) connected to this child will agonize over what they did or did not do and what they did or did not know.  They will also, I suspect, experience traumatizing guilt even if the decisions were ultimately made by an administrator.  People like the Guv...never...it's not in their character make-up.  Nothing penetrates the lower my taxes "because we are not in this together" crowd unless it affects them directly.

Children attend school with many severe medical conditions and complicated medication dispensations in today's world.  To expect non-medically trained people to be responsible for medical care and medication is obviously extremely dangerous, but it also exacts an emotional toll on those who must do what they are not prepared and trained for.

I suspect many people would not know that asthma can be a life-death situation since so many sufferers use an inhaler and appear to recover.  I was dismayed to learn that one of my former students died of an asthma attack last year.  I extend my sympathies to all affected by this tragedy.

The ones closest to this will most likely suffer emotionally from this. Doing the woulda/coulda/shoulda thing.

Right wingers hurt so many with their idiotic ideas so they can get more money. You know, how addicts act.

      •  I wonder if they're not supposed to call 911 (1+ / 0-)

If it were me, and there was no one medically trained, like a nurse, on site, I'd call 911. You never know, and why gamble with a child's life? Some people downplay asthma as not being all that serious, which can have tragic results, such as this poor girl. A friend of mine from high school, who had graduated two years before me, died of an asthma attack in his college dorm room. It was one of those quad rooms with four small rooms around a central sitting area, and his roommate was away. He died in the sitting area in the middle of the night; the supposition was that he was trying to get help from one of his dorm mates (this was before cell phones, and maybe he didn't call 911 because he couldn't talk?)

Anyway, I hope they sue the hell out of everyone involved. No one should die like that, no one should lose their child like that.
