    That's a BIG strike against Stanford. No college should have a quasi-professional football team.

    I would be beyond shocked if Jeb is the nominee. The ONLY thing this long-out-of-office candidate has going for him is name recognition. And the name is toxic across the political spectrum. Jeb has no chance.

      stay around long enough to graduate for the most part -- I think Stanford athletics have one of the highest graduation rates in the NCAA.

      I still wouldn't count Jeb out -- the name recognition will win him points in GOP circles where they still think George did no wrong compared to the guy the Dems elected. And he's already got the rep as the "smarter Bush brother" so folks not as into politics as the rest of us might figure he'll do better than his bro. If not at the top of the ticket, he'd be a strong running mate for whoever does get the nomination.
