That place is dead. They've gone from CRUZ MISSILE!!!! to "Ted needs our support".

teahadist delusion is still way off the charts:

Is GOP Caving With Victory At Hand?

Shutdown: Obama's approval rating has cratered, Democrats are fighting among themselves and ObamaCare — the reason for the shutdown in the first place — has been a disaster. So why are Republicans' knees shaking?

from election night 2012. Same degree of disconnect from reality.

Congress is broken and Americans are broke.

you brave the waters of Free Republic, so that we don't have to.

That is some real delusion going on. Every time something bursts the conservative thought bubble, my first thought is that now, finally, Republicans will gain a toehold in reality, and may actually come to realize how far out of step they are with the facts on the ground.

With the 2012 election, Teabaggers smugly believing in the "unskewed" poll data provided by delusional pseudo-pollsters -- the anti-Nate Silver, if you will -- the entirety of the Mitt Romney campaign machine was shocked to its core to realize that they were utterly divorced from reality.

So, you'd expect that to have been a turning point for GOP operatives, right? Well, you'd be wrong.

The debt ceiling fight is a doubling down on this distortion of reality. Here again, the Tea Party is working within a thought bubble in which all pollster data is riddled with bias, and that somewhere out there, there's a majority of Americans who buy into their drivel, who are secretly disgusted with Obamacare, and who are equally secretly supportive of the immolation of the federal government's creditworthiness.

The difference between now and fall of 2012 is that this time, their delusion is going to ensure that they take down the entire economy with them. You think Congressional Republican approval ratings are low? Wait till you see the Dow Jones Average the day after the government defaults on its debt.
