  •  Obama is doing better at communicating. (6+ / 0-)

Stay on message. Keep it simple.

    •  Better? This is the problem on this side of the (6+ / 0-)

aisle.  From the moment I went to see the President as a candidate in town halls in our area I knew his message was transformative.

I also don't think many people appreciate the impact his words have globally.

      •  No, really, he does make his point, (1+ / 0-)

but too often he does it like a professor.

        Nobody likes to be lectured.

He seems to be learning that.

I'm not an athiest. How can you not believe in something that doesn't exist? That's way too convoluted for me. - A. Whitney Brown

Not necessarily stern, but strong. And, I think, just the right tone for where he is. The President has never been and in your face attack dog, but his calm demeanor is serving to show his statesmanship against the ugliness of racism and fear that the right can't stop exposing itself with.
Even with the President's quickly greying hair, he's looking more fit against the Teabaggers every day.

(caveat; there are however a 30% base of racists and fear mongers in this country that must serve as examples of ignorance and psychosis for the rest of us to react to, and they'll probably take a six foot deep sleep before they come to see reality.)
