    This has been a year of few spiders for me, probably because one of the guys who replaced/repaired the duct work under the house removed all the spider nests he found. OK by me, as they're my least-favorite critter, though I know they do good. Oddly, I saw my first granddaddy long-legs two days ago, when we usually have an abundance of them for many months.

    Your pumpkin spider is appealing, though! I'll be finding some this afternoon, as I have to clear out the carport for my new home insurer. I'd planned on putting it all in the attached workshop, and it was chock full of webs. (No duct work under there!)

    It's sunny and 63 going up to 66 today -- a great improvement after showers and 50s yesterday. Fall colors are still abundant, if a bit late, here in Cotter, Ark.
