    are not as reliable - they don't know where all the bugs are, and users can do things that designers didn't think about.

    I have Family Tree Maker 2012 and it has bugs. It's been around for years - they're actually at about version 20 now - and in many ways it's still stuck at about 1990. (Part of it may be that the software house that's responsible is mostly an entertainment-software place. But surely they can get it to do things like merge files faster than two hours per thousand people, to not need 650MB to install, and to not need a gig of page files and half the CPU cycles to run....)

    (Is it time for the pitchforks and torches yet?)
