A huge effect of all the lies being manufactured and pushed out there is that no one knows who to believe about anything. That's how Cruz can dismiss the NBC poll, Karl Rove could dismiss even Fox News calling the Ohio election, otherwise sane-looking people dismissing the 98% of scientists on climate change, etc. "Expertise" doesn't carry any weight; surely those people are just making things up to make their employers look good. Right? Must be, if it doesn't match my preset narrative.

The anti-ACA propaganda has had a huge impact, and there are many people who would benefit from it but refuse to even look into it because they've been convinced that it's evil, fake, only available to Latinos (saw that one yesterday), a plot to grab all your medical information and use it for something or other, and governed by sharia law.

so much good information, so many opportunities to Google, and yet, so much disinformation as well.  A net positive, but a major factor in the disinformation campaign.
