    and raise you with a call for a completely new economic taxonomy, as well.

    I think that if Marx and Smith were around today they would lock arms in agreement and chastise us all for continuing to use economic terminology and conceptual frameworks that date back to the 19th and 18th centuries.

    It's time for a completely new economic paradigm that contains concepts and terminologies that reflect the complexity, interconnectedness, and unique challenges of the 21st century.

      that both Marx and Smith are misused in this era to mean something they don't mean.

      Smith despised the collusion of corporations and government that runs the economic show today.  Marx advocated a global revolution, not a national one, and the "dictatorship of the proletariat" was not a dictatorship of a political party claiming to represent the proletariat while hoarding power for itself, but rather rule by the whole of the working class.
