said they are looking at primarying tea partiers because they can't be trusted to just deal with the Chamber's fiscal issues. The Chamber of Commerce could give a shit about who has access to birth control pills, as long as Pfizer doesn't have to pay any more in taxes.

      •  In this case, it's more about brinkmanship (4+ / 0-)

        and the uncertainty it creates.

You're a Constitutional conservative. I'm a Constitutional conservative. Who isn't a Constitutional conservative? We are all proud Constitutional conservatives. Ted Cruz in 2016!

      •  The CoC though, is it useful (4+ / 0-)

I mean how do they turn out voters in primaries and gin up support for keeping tax rates low.  All republicans want that.

I really worry the CoC let the Tea Party take over and not realize that a fringe minority will love having power.  I don't see a huge outpouring of rank and file moderate Republican voters engaging in primaries or even worse, caucuses.

In many ways the CoC may have pulled a Feingold, they ignored their challenger (Tea Party) until it was too late and now the TP is in control and won't easily be knocked off.  And it's their own damn fault.
