  •  montanamarine, I agree. And, also too, as another (7+ / 0-)

prominent Tea Party "leader" might say--I read an interview with Ted's Dad --

Dad told the reporter that Every Day from the time Ted was 8, the Dad told Ted he had received gifts from God above all other people and that he (Ted) was chosen by God to become president of the US.

Talk about warping a kid's mind.  All that cognitive power is encased in a box of rigid and flattering theology.

Poor ol' Ted is an idiot savant.

    •  Does he have siblings? (0+ / 0-)

Wikipedia doesn't say, but does say his parents divorced when he was about 5, but says nothing about custody arrangements.

I've been listening to the taking heads all evening say "Ted Cruz is an intelligent guy...he's not stupid!"

No, I'm sorry, he's not. He thinks that the Palin 'bagger base will carry him to the presidency? Does he remember that she lost? Does he read the polls??

The only way that he thinks this strategy is viable is not because he's smart - it's because he's delusional. Prestigious schools and good grades are no indication of raw intelligence; someone with a GED can be smarter than a Harvard Law graduate. Education just makes you look and sound smarter, especially to stupid people.

Now, if you are smart, and you have a good education, then that's different. But Ted Cruz is not smart. He's an egomaniac who obviously subscribes to the God delusion. He'll be toast just like Palin and Cain and the rest of them.
