A few years ago, I got an e-mail about how North Dakota, or South Dakota or Wisconsin or Minnesota handled a 'class 5 snowstorm' better than the folks in Louisiana handled Katrina.  That couldn't be wrong, could it?

Also, I heard the Dakotas were Libertarian paradises with low unemployment and the gubmit stayed out of your business.  That couldn't be wrong - could it?

not thousands of people.  So it is an unfortunate financial problem, not a tragedy of loss of human life and destruction of homes and businesses.  I can think of a fair way to continue the insurance (posted above) and I don't want to punish these folks.  I carry flood insurance, and would be sad and angry if the shutdown ended flood insurance coverage.
