    couldn't (or wouldn't) think beyond the programs they wanted to kill and present to their masters as a sacrificial offering.

    Do they really think that all those republican voters who are or will be hammered hard by a default will just give the TEA/GOP a free pass out of love of country and hatred of Obama?

    The trick, John Boehner, is not minding that it hurts.

      They have now devolved into living in reaction-  and rationalization-land, if they ever actually inhabited reality at all.  Their voters are egging them on while Jim DeMint is threatening their jobs.  They're down to animal instinct now, like cornered rats.
