    I think it's important that everyone be identifiable so as to be connected to the rest of humanity.  Years ago, it would have been impossible to identify an abandoned infant, but nowadays, with genetic testing, it may be that Julie Valentine could be identified.

    In Woody Guthrie's songs "The Good Ruben James" and "Deportee," both about transport disasters where many people died, he expressed the importance of the names of the victims.  Our names are crucial to our identity.  Giving a baby a name signifies that the baby is a human and part of the family.

    I hope that, like Baby Hope, eventually Julie Valentine is identified and known by her real name.
