You bring things to me that are new! Good to return the favor!

I hope your new gift works well for you! I use mine for re-watching West Wing episodes, for example!

I'm using it right now to watch Breaking Bad, which I've just started and gotten into.

It's really kind of disgusting how much of an Apple fanboy I've become in the matter of a little over a month. I thought of this as I was using my Apple TV remote app on my iPhone to browse through the iTunes collection shared from my MacBook. I thought, "This is absurd. I need help." lol

I don't mind if you're straight. Just don't flaunt it in public.

      •  Them teevees sure is smart (5+ / 0-)

A couple of weeks ago, I wanted to show my partner something on YouTube that I had found earlier (Queen with Adam Lambert at the iHeartRadio concert). So I fired up the YouTube app built into the smart TV, and was anticipating some pain in navigating using only the TV remote (I could have plugged a USB keyboard into the TV, but still...).

Anyway, the YouTube app prompted me that if I wanted to control it from a computer, I could go to youtube.com/pair, and enter the 6-digit code that it presented on the TV.

Behold, I was able to browse YouTube on the computer (well, yeah), and have the browser sesssion direct the results via the YouTube app running on the TV. Using the YouTube servers as an intermediary between my laptop and the TV.

I had no idea they had that sort of thing implemented until it told me to do it.
