but the "pragmatism" of today's "centrist" Democratic Party makes it impossible for most working class voters to vote for our self-interests at all.  As long as the Dems keep tailing the Rubes rightwards as they have for 30 straight years, that will only become moreso.  Does that make voting Rube smart?  Hell, no.  But at this point there really is no "self-interest" argument left for the Dems to make to working class people.

Start fighting for the workers, stop being so damn corporate-"pragmatic", and that can be changed.  But I see no indication whatsoever that Dems see any error in continuing to pursue the corporatist agenda.  They call it "pragmatism" and "centrism", but show me a "centrist" or "pragmatist" Dem policy that isn't corporatism pure and simple.  It can't be done because there ain't no such animule.

beyond conservatism and into libertarian, anarchical situations . . . with most Democrats?

Don't think you're really "breaking" anything to me, but thanks.

The choice now is between a party that hates America and wants to destroy its government, and a conservative party that wants to preserve the status quo, which includes SS, Medicare, ACA, etc.

Destroying the US government doesn't serve the interests of many Americans.  Some neoconfederates believe it serves their interests, but they're living in a fantasy world constructed by Fox News and the usual talk radio nutsacks.
