    Demographic trends are on our side.  Ya, we have an ugly gerrymander to overcome, but I think we'll see some legit gains in the Florida House in 2014.  Scott and the local and national GOP are very unpopular right now.  We lost a lot of close races in the state house in 2014.  If we could score a gain of say 10 seats next year (non unrealistic), we'd be at 65R/55D.  It would be a nice start at least considering we were at 81R/39D in 2010.

    Unfortunately the State Senate is an entirely different story.  That's a much uglier gerrymander.  We're at 26R/14D in that chamber and only two races out of 40 were decided by <10 points in 2012.  Even in a great year I doubt Dems would pickup 2 seats.
