  •  Remember that time when the government (16+ / 0-)

shut down, because some sleazy seditionists in the House passed H.R. 368, and threatened to take the debt ceiling hostage in order to extort concessions on a three-year-old law that would make healthcare more affordable, and the House's penultimate decision before folding was suggesting a rotten bill that would prevent the Treasury from defending itself from a default and would throw Congressional staff under the bus, too? And remember that time when Wolf Blitzer and all the other "very serious people" in media, like Chuck Todd, were puzzled by Obama's lack of willingness to feed the tea party's egos during this entire seditionist episode? Yeah, that was a bright moment for our country.

Let's cut this nicely: Obama has eviscerated the Tea Party modus operandi. I am eagerly mulling the ramifications of this. I am so delighted. Ted Cruz would be limelighted as a lone idiot to even consider stalling the Senate. The day is (about) saved.
