gerrymandered districts.  But I expect some are going to find that they have angry constituents.  They're in such a bubble they may not even know it.  But they really shouldn't have let their extremists trot out their lust to cut Medicare and Social Security again.

And there are places like Virginia, where the House of Delegates has been a Republican playground. But parts of the state were hit hard economically by the shutdown, especially around the military bases.  And they aren't happy.  I'm really glad, as Kos mentioned, that the House of Delegates seats are all up for re-election in a few weeks.

Well actually no one has. But if I plant enough seeds, it will be there.

    •  Democratic national strategy (9+ / 0-)

should be to make every Republican own the craziest of them as we target specific seats that can be flipped.

I'd really like to see more of using "Tea Party" as a bad word to associate with Republican candidates.  Accuse them of their Tea Party ties.  Speak with the assumption that it's a shameful thing.

I think that's the opportunity this current fight has helped to create.  Some of them should be running from the loony base as others become more completely dependent on it.  Historically, sharp division within a party is always what leads to big change.

When half of Republicans are getting pissed off about what they see on Fox, the whole scam will start to fall apart.

When truth is only a matter of opinion, advantage goes to the liars.
