Yes, let's take advantage of the opportunity but why can't the Democratic party maintain voter enthusiasm?

In 2010 it was clear - lack of follow through on issues that had fired people up for Obama - i.e. prosecute wall street and war criminals which led to discouraged youth, et. al. to stay home.  Result:  tea party.

The Democratic Party problems are largely self inflicted.  When Howard Dean was there, there was enthusiasm and a growing ground game organization - going after every seat in every state.

    Nowadays, not so much.

There are a few strong voices - Warren, Brown, Grayson but who ends up being the face of the party?   Pelosi, Wasserman-Schultz, Reid.  snore.

The Democratic Party needs to really embrace the roots and be a true champion of the will of the people.  Less with the half steps and compromises - more with a Real Deal.

Roads, Bridges, Schools, Libraries, Hospitals, Post Offices,  Levees, etc.   Build them and the jobs will come.

Medicare buy-in as a single payer option.

Then there would be better, more sustained voter turnout.  I am sure of it.
