  •  I'm calling bullshit on your numbers (0+ / 0-)

    According to Numbeo:

    2 liter Coke/Pepsi = 90 kr = 14 dollars
    A combo meal at McDonalds = 65 kr = 10.13 dollars

I have no reason to trust Numbeo's numbers.

    Do you?

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.

    •  The prices seem perfectly reasonable (0+ / 0-)

Admittedly that is based on my visit to Oslo, which is not part of Sweden but close enough.  Norway is certainly the land of the five dollar coke.

    •  Calling bullshit (0+ / 0-)

Is that like calling, "alli alli in come free!"?

Short answer: yeah, based on recent residence in Italy and almost daily grocery shopping, that strikes me as well within the bounds of Euronormal.

"95% of the things are much more expensive in Sweden than the U.S. Sales tax is 25% and 12% on food."

The cost of living in Sweden is very high in comparison to other places. This is based on a comparison of locally collected prices for defined quantities of the same goods and services, converted to USD.

Now, there may be all sorts of advantages to living in Sweden, but chicken prices are likely not one of them. So, bullshit on your hasty, uninformed, and ignorant bullshit. Watch out for the E. coli.
