    in Turlock. FUCK FF!

if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.

    •  Better information, mrsgoo, about the union (0+ / 0-)

The 2000 Foster Farms workers used to be member of the United Food and Commercial Workers.  They had several unsatisfactory strikes, than the UFCW was ousted.

But Foster Farms was too lousy a place to work with a union.  So the workers formed their own independent union, and had another strike.

The company hung tough, and the Independent union affiliated with the 750,000 member-Machinists Union for some clout.

Last I read, the union settled that strike with an open-shop contract, and about 1400 of the 2000 workers are still in the union, as of about 2006.
