  •  Damn, I'm going to miss E.W. Jackson (8+ / 0-)

Do you think maybe we can get him to run for the GOP presidential nomination? If Donald Trump can run, anybody can!

I know people here argue endlessly about whether Ted Cruz is constitutionally eligible to do so (he is). But Ah-nuld is clearly not, and he's not dumb enough to think otherwise. He's no Louie Gohmert.

In the shadow of Mount Baldy, where lodgepole pine and trembling aspen compete for space in Alberta’s spectacular Kananaskis Country, all that remains of a Second World War prisoner of war camp are weedy building foundations, a rundown guard tower and a restored commandant’s cabin. Here and at 25 other locations across Canada, 35,046 German soldiers, sailors, airmen and potential insurgents were incarcerated under a program one later called “the best thing that happened to me.”

It’s how many of them felt about their time here; and it’s partly why more than 6,000 wanted to stay after the war ended.

He wouldn't be challenging a "law." He would be asking the court to allow him to violate the Constitution, which you can't do. You can't go to court and ask them to find what is clearly written in the Constitution unconstitutional. You have to CHANGE the Constitution. Good luck with THAT, particularly since Arnold would now be perceived as a "liberal" by the Tea Party.

    •  Also, I was attacked on the state GOP website (5+ / 0-)

for writing in my blog that bringing the Duggars to Ohio for their press conference announcing that they were reintroducing the "Heartbeat" bill and HB 200 (lots of crap like extending the waiting  period for an abortion and forcing doctors to lie to patients) signaled that our Republican legislators' vision for these bills was to turn women into baby factories. The Republican party scoffed at this and didn't see how I could possibly make a connection between the Duggars and their anti-choice bills. Hey, I didn't; THEY did by bringing the Duggars into the state for this event.
