    1. Considering the context of how it happened, "storming" is appropriate.

    2.  She may have sounded calm, but her rhetoric made it unhinged.  Remember, some of the looniest Repubs can sound calm and coherent when they throw right-wing bombs from the floor.

    3 and 4:  Both appropriate

Is meant to create a mood for this scene that didn't happen.

      I find it fundamentally dishonest.

off don't generally have people yanking them by the arms.

People who aren't in a rant generally don't say stuff like "don't touch me!" when caring people try to help, and don't continue to rail.

What she was saying was not "religious testimony".  She was railing against the government, claiming the constitution (a) should be of god and (b) isn't because it was written by Freemasons.

        How is this religious testimony?

        It's crazy talk.

          among other things.

It's her beliefs and we know that they are shared at various depths by many others.  They don't all get the chance to voice their frustration with seeing their religious views - which, to them, is the filter on reality they utilize - rule the day.  Her frustration in this case could simply have been too great - but, even Republicans after two weeks of Tea Party embarrassment wouldn't want to publicly align with words and actions which happen to exist among many of their core voters . . . in front of the general public.

Filter out the personal-status issue, and I doubt that her statement even cracks the top twenty Weirdest Things Said On The Floor Of Congress this year.

Michelle Bachmann alone has made at least 20 more bizarre religious statements on the floor of the House. No one has ever said that poor dear is mentally ill.

She's guano crazy. But psychiatric care isn't going to change what's wrong  with soon to be ex-Rep Bachmann.

          •  In Other Words Step Into Any Given Church On (5+ / 0-)

any random Sunday and you'll see this performance go on multiple times as parishioners give their testimony.

And I thought this behavior was limited to the holy rollers and 700 Club, but apparently it is normal church lifestyle.

No wonder this behavior does not appear odd to many commenters here.

They see it occur weekly and perhaps daily.  So they see it as reality based now.

      1) no, storming is not appropriate, it's just factually incorrect
      2) it's not ranting if you believe it, in other words the meaning of the words is not what makes it a rant

      •  I agree. In fact, it was almost odd HOW calmly she (1+ / 0-)
