    House to a standstill.

Point me to the janitor who did that.

Not to mention, what if God told her to type what he was telling her instead of what the House members were saying?

You don't think that's a bit risky to have her in that position?

    Anyway, she's done for.

I'm not an athiest. How can you not believe in something that doesn't exist? That's way too convoluted for me. - A. Whitney Brown

      "Done for."

If she's sick, she seeks treatment and they'll give her her job back. If she's not, she has first amendment rights. They warn her never to do that again, and write her up for very inappropriate behavior.

But IF she has a clean record for 20 years, I don't know that firing someone for witnessing for God is a great idea, even during an incredibly important vote that disrupted everything.

Discipline her. Counsel her.  Reassign her. But "done for"? If this is a first offense?

      I hope not.

So if you get hit by a bus tonight, would you be satisfied with how you spent today, your last day on earth? Live like tomorrow is never guaranteed, because it's not. -- Me.

    •  2 minutes is hardly "a standstill"... (0+ / 0-)

In terms of disruption, this wasn't much more than what any number of protestors have done in the past or will do in the future.

By all means, she should face job consequences--reassignment, counseling, and the like--but I'm amazed by calls for her head on a platter. She obviously needs help, and many commenters here would apparently toss her out onto the street without a second thought.

The word "parent" is supposed to be a VERB, people...
