  •  Nah I can't agree (0+ / 0-)

By saying the government should not provide it, he is saying it should not exist. He is saying we--the people who are responsible for putting our representatives in government to make our country's decisions--are wrong to put our support behind programs like schools, etc., but then he is using those programs.

One cannot argue that he isn't saying he has a problem with the programs--only that he has a problem with who funds them--because the very nature of the programs precludes detaching them from the funding. Without public funding, you have no such thing as public schools, libraries, parks, or healthcare. So he is hypocritical in taking advantage of something he says should not exist, given that demand drives supply, in this case. If everyone boycotted public schools, they would no longer exist. And if he boycotted those things, less government revenue would be required to support his consumption of services.

It is as hypocritical as someone saying, "Killing animals for food is wrong, but since they are already dead, I am going to eat them." You simply create demand for the death of more animals. A person who truly believes killing animals is wrong does not eat animals just because someone else killed them.

**Electing Republicans to the government is like hiring pyromaniacs as firemen. They all just want to see everything burn to the ground.**
