  •  your one diary from a year ago suggested that (8+ / 0-)

we need to cut Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security "any welfare program" and "Obamacare." And you complained about progressives having no solutions and being no better than tea partiers.
I think it unlikely that you would find anything good to say about the ACA given those preconceived notions.

While Democrats work to get more people to vote, Republicans work to ensure those votes won't count.

    •  If you are criticizing me for (0+ / 0-)

not believing that we can spend at a deficit forever and must get our federal budget under control, I accept that accusation gladly.

I am absolutely bothered by not seeing a single liberal proposal for balancing the budget in the long run and I was asking, in that thread, for what people would propose or to show me examples of that.

Is it irrational to have progressive goals but believe there are limits to what can be accomplished without risking our children's financial health?  Can I only be a progressive if I believe in unfettered spending to accomplish progressive goals?

To be clear, I believe in basic access to health care for all citizens ... but that the ACA was a wildly odd compromise between business/insurance interests and good policy.  Give me Single Payer and I probably won't have nearly as much criticism .. is that Progressive enough for you?

I'm interested in knowing whether you were mistaken, misunderstood, or you misrepresented your circumstances. Please explain yourself and where your numbers came from. If you do not reappear, you will have been proven to be one the above.
