    I meant something NOT from their own website, for example I just tracked down this Charity Navigator profile:

    I don't really know how to make sense out of their low financial score, but obviously I'm pumped that they have a high accountability & transparency score.

    Still. This isn't enough for me to deflect my pitifully small donations from other targets. I'm hoping for something that really reassures me.

      Maybe you will find my response to Grover's concerns about that financial rating helpful---see below. Among my own words I did include a link to a page on Heifer's website simply because there are people in the organization who are more articulate than I am.

      I happen to like Heifer's approach to fundraising and fundraising expenditure, that is, putting the emphasis on public education and consciousness raising regarding food issues and global poverty through their publications and classroom curriculum and events. It is only after people get the picture that they are motivated to support solutions.
