of this diary as it comes across as a CT? Given that Obama-criticizing LW bloggers like Greenwald have been attacked by people aligned with or protective of the Dem establishment and accused of being RW or libertarian shills or at least their useful idiots, I want to know just how he fits into all this.

I can't imagine why Fox or any other RW-aligned sockpuppet outfit would want to discredit people like Greenwald, since they probably like the fact that he's been critical of Obama, even if from the opposite (i.e. legitimate) direction. To them, bloggers like him probably seem like useful idiots.

it was to highlight a pattern of this kind of abuse by 'puppets'. the two are unrelated except in methods used, maybe I was unclear about that. Mainly the diary is to highlight the pattern of big business using the web to manipulate public opinion, and then that opinion gets reported on as news. sorry Im not a profession blogger, I do this from the living room floor inbetween catching up on Person of Interest episodes. Ill do my best to be more concise in the future.

that I believe that this site has had sockpuppets, plants and shills, mainly in support of OFA and other establishment Dems, but also in support of various special interests (e.g. people who defended Wall St. during the meltdown, who were clearly plants and "strangely" not very active here anymore), but also in support of Repubs (but they're obvious and easily caught).

However, absent hard evidence of specific such people, it's kind of pointless to discuss it at length, except to warn people to be vigilant.

        •  Where a posting supports a GOP hoax, (0+ / 0-)

          assume you're dealing with a shill/sockie.

They also hit the REC icon only for their own accounts. That takes time.

          •  Sadly, not the only kind of shill here (0+ / 0-)

Still plenty of folks plugging OFA horseshit in defense of SS cuts and such. Perhaps some of them truly are this stupid, but not all can be.
