  •  Irony alert (8+ / 0-)

The same person who recommended this personal attack, issues a passive aggressive "1" to the diarist, presumably for the offensive use of the president's childhood nickname

It puts the lotion on its skin

    •  So, what was the personal attack that was (0+ / 0-)

recommended?  Calling someone else a dick, perhaps?  Now that's pretty personal, I will agree.

        •  Thank you for your comment. However, I am amazed (0+ / 0-)

that my comment was considered a "personal" attack, while someone else calling me a "dick" was not considered as such.

The diarist offered to depart if people wanted him to.  I did not make the suggestion, he did.  I responded in the affirmative.  Others replied in the negative.  At no time, did I attack the diarist personally or ask him to leave the site.  His diary did not change my opinion, nor did my comment change his.  He diaries quite frequently, and many have agreed or disagreed with him.  While I certainly respect his frustration with navigating the ACA websites, I find much of his language and style offensive.  In comparison to his often expressed sentiments, I feel that my comment was astonishingly mild.

I have valued your comments over time, Wee Mama, and I appreciate your taking the time to respond.  Have a good week!

          •  I didn't say that I considered it a personal (2+ / 0-)

attack, just that that was what Nada Lemming considered one.

Moving outside this particular situation, I have always been amused by the wryness expressed when someone is underwhelmed by someone else in the phrase, "There'll be many a dry eye when he goes." I was lightly acquainted with Rall's work offsite, and I found few of his cartoons funny.
