You are not the center of the universe. If someone has an overfilled carry-on, it wasn't done just to annoy you. It might have been because they haven't flown in a while and don't know how crowded it is, or maybe the generous loved ones they were just visiting lavished gifts upon them that exceeded their expectations...

Do you realize that you violate your own #8 when you say that you turn up your chargers/colts game on your own headphones. If it is up almost all the way, then others can hear it too.

Hold a fart for a plane ride? What planet are you from?

Maybe you need to watch this (again) and work on your own anger issues:

But I'd hazard a guess that someone who farts away in a tight, enclosed, climate-controlled metal tube with up to eight other people strapped down in very close proximity to them, believes that they are.  In case you missed it, the majority of my examples are of people that seem to be the center of their own universes, to everyo elses' (including my) detriment.

As for #8, recall in the example (#6) that the baby was screaming.  I actually did try this once, but only for ten seconds or so, then decided listening to the baby was actually more pleasant.

Got a curious about the relevant data:

People fart on average 14 times per day (no difference between men and women).

Lets assume a 2 hr flight on a 747. seating capacity around 366 (varies by which version of the plane etc). Each of whom will have to fart at least once during the duration of the flight. Plane typically has 6 bathrooms for the main cabin. So 366 farts spread over 6 bathrooms gets us 61 uses of each lav (not counting anyone who has to pee etc.). So each lav would have to turn over every 2 minutes.

Technically possible I guess, but then someone would just complain about the person in the window seat getting up, or people in the aisles accidentally brushing their leg, or not being able to get into the bathroom to pee, or whatever.

...familiarity with the problem.  I really do try to keep windbreaking to an absolute minimum when I fly (frequently I don't let fly at all on a trip) because it really is noxious to people around you.  But as a matter of practicality, I hear what you're saying.

for them to stow that overfilled bag in the cargo hold of the airplane and retrieve it for you at the destination.

      Life is full of choices.

Want the convenience of carry-on? Great! Then pack light.
Want to carry everything you own? Check your bag.

If the pilot's good, see, I mean if he's reeeally sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low... oh you oughta see it sometime. It's a sight. A big plane like a '52... varrrooom! Its jet exhaust... frying chickens in the barnyard!
