    Yes, there are some deferred expensive needs. But many of us without insurance aren't in dire need, and won't be drawing on more than we have been the past few years. (At least that's my plan -- not intending to need more than the preventative care.) We're the people the ACA is relying on -- that's how insurance works.

    I expect there will be some pinch-points, especially in underserved areas. On the other hand, ERs that have had to take people for free may find that some of the less-urgent stuff is no longer coming in, as people have other options. And when people do come in, the hospital will get paid instead of having to absorb the costs.

    It will take time for the new system to show its effects and to affect hiring and providers.
