    Would also be nice to have policy wonks dig through to identify pork and long-since-unnecessary subsidies.  There is a group called Green Scissors that finds wasteful spending that is also environmentally harmful as a proposed "win-win" to cut costs AND protect the environment.

    Things like the welfare-system disguised as "National Flood Insurance" or the Dept of Interior's practice of selling timber at a fraction of its market value (costs taxpayers $600 million a year) or just straight-up giveaways like the $8 BILLION federal "Fossil Energy Loan Guarantee Authority".
