Politicians who talk politics at funerals should be criticized.

I've actually heard politicians on conference calls/speakerphones with each other arguing over who was should be appointed to a Congressperson's vacant seat, while the Congressperson was still in a coma, waiting to donate their organs.  Not even dead yet.

These were Democrats, too.  It made me want to scream at them to show some decency.

As much as I like politics and Dem politicians, they're capable of doing and saying horrible things when someone is sick or dying.

If cutting Social Security & Medicare benefits for low income seniors is what Democrats do after they win a bodget standoff, I'd hate to see what they do after they lose one.

    •  That's what I thought when Paul Wellstone died. (4+ / 0-)

Republicans were nice enough to attend his memorial service, only to sit through some less-than-nice rhetoric from Tom Harkin, who basically egged on the crowd against them.  I have always thought that evening was part of why Mondale lost the election.
