  •  I share a birthday with George Washington (6+ / 0-)

and Ted Kennedy. Before there was President's Day, Washington's and Lincoln's birthdays were school holidays, so I got the day off on my birthday.

The 22nd Amendment, establishing the Presidential term limit, was ratified on Feb. 22.

Many important things happened that, but many notable things happen every day. When I looked at the list, I saw that Feb. 22, 1941 is the day that the Nazis started rounding up the Jews of Amsterdam and on the same date two years later, the Bulgarians allowed the Germans to start deporting (meaning send to concentration camps) the Jews of Macedonia and Thrace.

Also on that very day, German resistance members of White Rose were executed.
