It's the most fun I ever had.  All the people no one will play games with because we always win, but we could play together!

It was in 1992, when the presidential debates were on.  My tape has the infamous crow-sitting-in-a-tree "If you vote for Clinton the world will end!" commercial.

So when I was on, they paid nothing - no hotel, no travel.  Has that changed?  And do the podiums still radiate heat upward?  Do they still have boxes to stand on to average out the heights?  I'm short, and I played with a very tall guy.  My entire torso was above the podium when I stood on my box.

They still make you pay for your own flight and hotel.  Boo.  There are little elevators behind the podiums, so they adjust your height from a remote control.  I was afraid of falling off the entire time.

But wow is it a well oiled machine.  They have taping down to a science.  And everyone working was so friendly and the other contestants were great too.  You're right - it's like a convention of people who other people won't play games with.  I wish I could do it again.
