is that a Democratic Party that sounded and acted emboldened like Elizabeth Warren on the poor and the middle class would not be met with scorn and derision by people who have been in the shit for years.

    It would change the argument.

Raise the national minimum wage to $15.

Or try. You may fail, but everybody knows who the bad guys are. The water being muddied by the Kochs is enabled by trying to avoid partisanship and ideological struggles.

The Village sees the GOP as the default party of governance. Even now, post shutdown, despite all the hopes that the Village meme had been busted by the shutdown mess, the Village is compartmentalizing the epic fails on Ted Cruz and the Tea Party and every day finding little ways to go about exempting his GOP peers as if they didn't just let Cruz dictate what they were all going to do. Like they were mugging victims and not co-pilots.

    True the Debt revs up.
Alan Simpson and Erskine Bowles shine their shoes.
The shutdown is over, time to get back to work on fucking the people who are out of work.

Nothing would shake that shit cycle up greater than national Democrats going to communities like this and bucking them up.

Nobody is crying out for more austerity, or being fixated on placating austerians in exchange for more bad policy outcomes, but Billionaires, news anchors who make millions of dollars a year to gossip about our lives like it is their favorite reality tv show, and hooked up ex-DC denizens who are also now rich and don't need the social safety net.

The predictions that raising the minimum wage destroys everything it touches has been proven false so many times before in the past there is no reason to be timid about nationalizing a living wage.

The GOP just made themselves look bad, if the Democrats just let them look bad, they can win in 2014.

If they make an argument as well as let the GOP look bad, they could start the transition to longterm governing majority.

These things are happening on the local level because of desperation and a leadership vacuum on restoring the American middle class. Fast food workers are striking because they have reached a point where they have no other options but to risk their jobs to try and force change. You don't walk out of a McDonalds because you are in a position of power and have leverage, you walk out of a McDonalds because you are trying to avoid a dead cat bounce at the bottom and it has come to that.

I am a Loco-Foco. I am from the Elizabeth Warren wing of the Democratic Party.

A huge increase in the minimum wage would never pass the Congress even if the Democrats had a 2/3rds majority in both houses of the Congress.
