  •  Yeah, not enough--but here are a few more. (0+ / 0-)

These are not picture books, but chapter books or middle grade novels with African-American boys for their main characters. They are light reading--often mysteries--books designed to get kids to enjoy reading:

    Chapter books for grades 1-4:

Karen English  The Carver Chronicles series
Patricia McKissack   Miami Sees It Throough
Ann Cameron   The Julian series and the Huey series

For slightly older readers (grades 2-5ish):

    Monalisa DeGross   Donavan's Word Jar
    Angela Shelf Medearis   various mysteries

    For grades 4-6:

    Sharon M, Draper  Clubhouse series
    Amar'e Stoudemire   STAT series

(There are more titles and series with African-American girls as the main characters, and they can be found by searching for any of the above on Amazon, and then scrolling through the "Customers who bought this book also bought" feature.)
