    Danger, Will Robinson!!

Do not read too much into these numbers, for they be misleading. In the same way that reading too much into DISAPPROVAL of Obamacare can be risky.

Remember, disapproval is binary - it can mean disapproval because one disagrees fundamentally or because one disagrees only partially or to some extent over a single major issue.

In other words, DISAPPROVAL of Obamacare can mask significant support for the law overall but anger over its lacking a public option. Such DISAPPROVAL does not indicate opposition to the fundamental law itself.

In the same way, much new disapproval for the GOP is likely from older Tea Psrty members. But do not be complacent - said people are NOT countable as supporting Democrats or of not eventually voting Republican in important elections anyway.

The best way to tell a Democrat from a Republican is to present someone requiring food and shelter. The Democrat will want them housed and fed, even if they be faking need. The Republican will gladly see them starve until all doubt is removed.

Obama was the strong leader that Americans like in a president. It's not just that the Republicans failed. Obama led firmly and consistently and the Democrats were rock solid.

look for my eSci diary series Thursday evening.

While I tend to agree, if this figure were truly representative, then the generic HOUSE BALLOT would be +25 for democrats.

It isn't, which means that while they may disapprove, most of those folks are still going to vote GOP when push comes to shove...

        •  It might grow to something like that (0+ / 0-)

by the time of the actual  election.  Unlikely, but we should try for that as much as possible.  There is at least potential for a wave now.
