  •  He's a Republican (0+ / 0-)

You're working to make a Republican governor of Florida. Crist is a Republican. It's only because Florida's Republicans are straight up fascists that Crist couldn't win through their party.

Florida is as Democratic as it is Republican among voters. It's a huge, dynamic state in population. You can find an actual Democrat to run.

Or else you can put this Republican, and his network of Republican sponsors, in the governor's office for another four years of Republican Florida.

You are indeed working to unseat a monster. You are also working to seat a Republican.

You should just admit that to yourself. Otherwise you're going to argue with those of us who can see the obvious truth.

He switched. He's registered as one. Just like numerous others throughout history have. So cut the purist BS. He's by far the strongest candidate to dispatch Skeletor.

I can understand some reservations about Crist, since he is a know opportunist (his backstabbing of Giuliani in the 2008 primary comes to mind), but given the weak current Dem bench in FL, beggars can't be choosers.

Republicans have run as Democrats in plenty of other races in the past several years, usually to split the Democratic vote as a spoiler. We didn't accept them as real Democrats either, just because they registered as one. It's a trivial cost to win an election.

You admit he's a known opportunist. He's no different than he ever was, except that he can't win as a Republican. It's obvious that electing him is electing a Republican.

Florida is a big, dynamic state whose voters are as Democratic as they are Republican. Democrats can find a winner there who's not literally a Democrat In Name Only.
