    is all our mountains have--and they are blowing the tops off all of them to get that. And polluting the water with the coal ashe. It's disastrous and even the people whose lives depend on it know it's like signing on as crew of the Titanic.

    Tobacco might make cellulosic ethanol or bio-diesel. I don't know that anyone has looked into it.  The parts of the state that depend on these things are, shall we say, hidebound. They don't like change--even the kind of change that could save their communities and much of their way of life.
