    The only famous people to whom I'm related were famous grifters and criminals. :-)

    John Harlan Marshall's biography shows that he held the same racist views as the majority of the SCOTUS. But he held the Constitution sacred and the 13th -15th Amendments say what they say. His dissent became the basis for Plessy's overturning in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka.
