  •  Seriously? You think making a misleading (0+ / 0-)

graph should be a crime?  That's not a progressive value.

    •  And using publicly regulated airwaves (0+ / 0-)

to spread propaganda and call it journalism is?

      Sorry. My bad.

      •  Yup, your bad. (0+ / 0-)

Fox News is a cable channel.  It doesn't use "publicly regulated airwaves."

        •  No, the FCC (0+ / 0-)

(the Federal Communications Commission) has no control whatsoever over cable TV.

          Your bad.

          •  WTF? (0+ / 0-)

That's my point.  Cable TV cannot be regulated the same as over-the-air broadcasting.

            •  That was sarcasm. (0+ / 0-)

Of course the FCC has regulatory power over cable! They impose a rating system, and yes, they do censor content on basic cable (which includes Fox News), albeit more loosely than they censor broadcast networks.

              •  You are wrong. (0+ / 0-)

Bye and thanks for playing.  Better luck next time!

                •  No, I'm not wrong. (0+ / 0-)

The rating system is still in place and words are censored on basic cable with regularity.

And I don't need luck, especially when dealing with the likes of you.

                  •  Wrong again (0+ / 0-)

The rating system is voluntary, and basic cable self-censors.  I take it you've never watched"South Park"?

Look, this is my last comment.  You obviously have no idea what you're talking about.  Perhaps instead of throwing out more stupid, factually and/or legally challenged comments, you could try to educate yourself more.

                    •  Saying that it's so (0+ / 0-)

doesn't make it so. I watch lots of cable, South Park included. I watched a Comedy Central roast just recently. They didn't bleep "shit," but they did bleep the n-word and numerous other words.

Your nit-picking regarding censorship is irrelevant anyway. The situation re: Fox "News" relates to the broader issue of standards, and there should indeed be enforceable standards of accuracy for broadcast entities that call themselves "news" agencies. If it's packaged as "news," it's not political speech, and should be held to a higher standard than South Park or a celebrity roast.

Your decision to run is probably best. All you seem to have left is insults anyway. I'm sure we'll meet again at some point. I've been here a long time, and I'm not going anywhere.

              •  And next time (0+ / 0-)

try not to mix sarcasm with being wrong.  It only makes you look that much dumber.

                •  See above. (0+ / 0-)

Smart-ass remarks don't make you right.

                  •  You're right (0+ / 0-)

It's actually being right on each legal and factual matter raised in this thread that makes me right.  Being a smart-ass about it is just icing on the cake.
