in the NYC mayorial election, and his strange absence from the NJ gubernatorial election.

    •  We're getting the NJ governor race at 8%. (0+ / 0-)

      Used to be 30%.

      Barbara Buono's ads are effective.

      Christie sounds like Donald Trump.

Although I'm glad that McAuliffe is getting attention the fact that Obama et al have not gone into NJ to campaign for Barbara Buono, thereby giving Christie a pass to win the election.  I don't care how "popular" they say he is they should still be there for her.  By the way, NJ has more Dems that Cons and I also find it a disgrace that voters are crossing party lines and voting for Christie a man who increased their taxes, against marriage equality, hates teachers and unions and is a nasty SOB.

Never be afraid to voice your opinion and fight for it . Corporations aren't people, they're Republicans (Rev Al Sharpton 10/7/2011) Voting is a louder voice than a bullhorn.

      •  so what you're say is . . . (0+ / 0-)

Obama should stay away from NJ because he would just ruin Buono's chances?

McAuliffe is not so much popular in VA, as he is considered the lesser of two evlis, which in comparison to Cuccinelli is not saying much.

In contrast, there is a clear objective for McAuliffe. This is an off year politically and there is a concern about voter turnout.

McAuliffe’s campaign has been working to activate many of the same voters who carried Virginia for Obama in 2008 and 2012: young people, independent women and African American, Latino and Asian American voters. Some of those groups – young and nonwhite voters — tend to participate at lower rates in non-presidential elections. - Politico, 10/28/13
